Wednesday 30/01/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will;
  • Check online banking
  • Do clicks
  • Eat from storecupboards/freezer
  • Try and not spend any money
Have a good day everyone:D
Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Today I will....

Bring lunch to work from home (even made sandwiches last night!)
    Check online banking
Have a "free" tea at boyfriends
Sell my unwanted furniture to the second hand shop
Try to not spend anymore than the £3 I've already spent today!

    Have a good one.....;)
  • Morning all!! Just had my amazon delivery through, with my thrifty ways for modern days in, so that's bedtime reading tonight! I have brought in homemade lunch, so hopefully a NSD... payday too so have just updated my spreadsheets.
  • Put off collecting a parcel that was delivered yesterday until Saturday when I'm going near the PO anyway and can save on petrol costs. Getting a free coffee using a voucher earned filling in a customer satisfaction survey and will do some Pigsback stuff later.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
