Jeffrey Parker Baum solicitors???

Hi, Hope this is in the right place.I have had a call from the solicitors firm above who i have never heard of before. They left a message on my parents home phone and left a reference number asking me to get in touch with them.

I called them back and they asked me to confirm my address but as i had not recieved anything from them in writing, i refused to give them my address so they told me that they could not discuss the matter any further as it was a financial matter.

I am worried as i do not have anything outstanding but they would not tell me anything. I asked them to put to me in writing what it was concerning. They told me that they had already written to me last November but i have not recieved anything fom them?

Has anyone heard of them or know what they deal with please?

The number they left me to call them back on was a Nottingham number and there is a web site for them which i found but no details apart from the names of the people that work there.

I would appreciate ANY advice.

Sounds like a debt collection agency - I suspect they don't have your address, and were trying to get this from you by asking you to confirm it.

Debt collection or someone has left you some money ...

Quick Google doesn't bring up any results, but it could be different spelling? Do you still have the phone number? x

Edit: Found them ... Geoffrey Parker Bourne ... debt collection I'm afraid x

Hi dmg24 I think it is Geoffrey-Parker-Bourne i am really worried now and i dont have any thing in Nottingham.

Could it be a case of mistaken identity?

I dont want to give them my address though. They said that they will get in touch with their clients and take it from there?

They may be acting for a client outside Nottingham. It could be mistaken identity. Is there any time when you have had credit, perhaps when you still lived at your parents? x

Don't worry. Many of these companies will write to everyone who fits a certain criteria of the person they are looking for (name, age, area etc).

It would be worth posting on the Debtfree Wanabee board. They may well have dealt with this company before x
