Currently if you buy a promotional "Try Me Free" 500ml bottle of Powerade for 87p you'll get £1.23 back via a cheque refund.

To get the deal

Buy an individual bottle (87p at Tesco and Asda, 88p at Sainsburys), send your letter with a 24p second class stamp and it'll have cost you a maximum of £1.12 meaning you'll actually be paid to drink it!

If you have internet access once you've bought your bottle go to the Poweradeforfree website, complete and print out the form and send it with the promotional label to ‘Powerade’ Try Me Free, Dept. No. 5228, PO Box 99, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, HP19 8R.

If you don't have internet access write on a piece of plain paper in block capitals your name, date of birth and address including county and postcode and send this with your label to the same address as above.

You should get your cheque within 28 days although remember the volumes of people going for this offer may slow the process down so please be patient.

Terms and Conditions:

You need to be 16 or over and not a Coca-Cola employee. Sadly you can only make one application per household.

Up the savings

Several of the supermarkets currently also have offers on Powerade. If you want more for your money then it's Buy One Get One Free for 98p at Co-op stores. To find your nearest Co-op use its store locator (enter your postcode in the box on the top left then click on Food).

Just come back from Sainsbugs .... new offer on Powerade ... The blue stuff in a bottle ... Yes i know not very MSE but I have to indulge the child in the "who's got the funniest looking energy drink at football training" way .... :rolleyes:

I digress .... At Sainsbury's Powerade is £1 for 2 bottles ... normally 88p each ... and on the packs there is a Try Me Free Offer ... with Cashback of £1.23 ... when you fill in the in the online form and send off bottle plastic sleeve ...

Here is the doodaa .... www.poweradeforfree.com .... Offer starts 1st Feb so you can't claim until then ... but goes on until 31.7.2008 ....

Does say on the sleeve that you can claim without the form from the website, so no need to wait...

The £1.23 refund includes your postage, so you're actually 11p in profit if you buy just the one and use a 2nd class stamp, or if you buy two at Sainsbury's you'd get them for 1p

This is quite a good promotion actually as usually TMF refunds ask for a receipt, whereas here they obviously rely on the RRP of 99p.

Tesco currently have 500ml cherry flavour Powerade with 'try me free' bottle sleeves. They are 87p each or buy 2 for £1.40. The offer states 'To receive your cheque refund of £1.23 simply complete the application form at www.poweradeforfree.com , print and post it with your promotional 'Powerade' bottle sleeve to.....'. Popped into my local co-op this after noon and noticed that on the bottles of powerade was try this for free, simply send the sleeve off and get £1.23 back as a cheque.

Now the bottle cost £1.05 but co-op had them on special offer bogof so 2 bottle for £1.05. get £1.23 back -postage voila 2 free bottle of powerade. promotion on bottles says until 31/07/08 but not sure how long the bogof in co-op lasts for.

Just a quick query....was just on the poweradeforfree site and it says that you can claim back the money on 'special promotional packs'...does this mean the powerades have to have the 'try me for free' label on them to qualify for the free offer??

Yes ... You need to send in the Try Me Free sleeve
