I'd recommend you try the gradual ones first, the johnston holiday skin, or dove, l'orel and granier all do one. These only have small amount of fake tan so you use it everynight over a week or so and the colour will build up.
It also means you will not end up streaky or patchy.

I use St Tropez but a good one for pale skins is Palmer Cutler (from Boots?) Named after one half of the duo behind it- Patsy Palmer the red haired from East Enders who is due to return!
"Voted the best fake tan on LK Today GMTV, awarded a Gold Medal by HAIR FLAIR magazine and winner of THE SUNDAY TIMES STYLE BEAUTY AWARDS.

Jenny Frost and Liberty Ross only use Palmer-Cutler It ...Is Real Tan. Denise Van Outen, Will Young, Sadie Frost and Victoria and David Beckham are amongst the names that also use Palmer-Cutler products in their daily beauty routines."

I'll go along with lynnexxxo re the Johnsons Holiday Skin. I'm naturally very pale and use this twice a week in winter to give me a hint of colour. In summer I apply it more often if I want a deeper 'tan'. It looks very natural and I've had complements about what a lovely tan I've got, and been asked if I've just come back abroad ;). A bonus, it's also a great moisturiser.

    Hi,

Been reading this thread with interest as I have just bought the Johnsons one, but wondered what happens to it when you have a shower and exfoliate?

I applied some for the 1st time today, of course including on my face, but I do use a facial scrub twice a week, so wondered if it will somehow 'scrub' the tan off and have a different colour face to my body?!!!

I'm a total newbie to this fake tan lark so any help MUCH appreciated! :)
