No, the tax returns being submitted at the minute are April 06 to April 07 you don't need to do one until after April of this year and before 30th Jan next.

You have registered with the tax office as self employed?

Have fun next year doing the tax return it gets me every time!!!

Debt free date July 2024! I don't think so, it'll be going quicker than that!!!

  • Thanks Jules....I didn't think so as I had registered with the inland revenue and received a letter before xmas stating that they would let us know when we had to complete a tax return. My family got me all worried when they said the onus is on me to complete it and I need to do it now as I'll be paying on account for next year.

Just one piece of advice (which I should follow but don't), do it as soon after April as you can and then its not just as stressful and done and out of the way. I've just done mine and remembering back so far is a nightmare.

You will get a form to complete some time after April. Register to complete it online, it's much, much easier and it works it all out for you.

Depending on how much you earn will decide whether you then have to pay any on account in the following years.
