question re discount codes

I've used a LX discount to get 25% off - fine no problem except that one of the items doesn't fit (and looks bloody awful anyway). Total order was £198 less 25% discount.(49.50) Item is £98
If I return it, what happens re the discount code as it was 25% off the whole order? They can't allow the whole discount can they as it would mean I got the other item for 50 quid.

Also my mum ordered some toys with the £25 off and then saw the main item on offer in Makro so bought it. If she returns the one from LX when it arrives, it will mean her account is actually in CREDIT . This surely can't be right can it?

    Hi there.

If you ordered two items totalling £200, then you get £50 discount (25%). They do this by giving you 25% off each item.

    i.e. 1 x item at £100 = you would get for £75
         and another.............
         1 x item at £100 = you would get for £75

So, if you return the one item, you get £75 credited back to your account.

And..............no she wont have her account in credit, cos they will only credit you for what you paid.

i.e. if the item was £50, and you used a £25 off voucher, that would mean you paid £25, so thats what you would get credited back.

    Understand??

OK, thanks. so my mum ordered a coffee maker for £29 and 4 toys totaling £32 - total £61. she used a £25 off code, paying £36. she wants to send the toys back but will her account be credited with the full £32 - meaning the coffee maker is £4 - or will they want her to pay the full amount for it? ???

I think they will credit her account with about £19.

I would be like she spent £61, £29 on coffee maker - £32 on toys, the £25 voucher meant that she spent £36 out her own money......That would be about £17 on the coffee maker and £19 on the toys (roughly).

So she will get about £19 back for the returned toys.

If your mum does decide to send it back then please let us know how she gets on.

    Cheers
