Hopefully this is the best place to post, I have a good few ds games that we have either completed or dont play and would like to trade them in for some wii games but i hit a problem the other day in Gamestation, they would only take 1 out of 5 games stating that they couldnt take the others due to a rating problem and that all the games came from the usa when i know 2 of them did the others didnt but i dont know which online shop they were purchased from maybe a jersey online shop
Does anyone know whats the best thing to do with these games if anyone takes them as trade ins? as i really dont want to go down the ebay route but may have to if its the only way.
Thanks in advance;)

Thanks in advance;)
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

unfortunatly all the games shops I have tried will only take stuff bought in the UK. You also need to realise that for 5 games you will proberbly get about £5 each at the most unless any of them are current chart games or very popular then the prices can go up slightly maybe £8 or £9 if your lucky but I doubt you will be able to buy 1 wii game never mind 2.
Your best option is to stick them on ebay. I had a bunch of brand new still sealed games from my tesco r+r days I took them to both game and game station and was offered £45 for 9 games, some were worth £8 others were £2 they just take the !!!! with their prices. I stuck them all on ebay buy it now for £11-£9 each and they were all snaped up.0 -
Thank you
I was offered £8 for my starwars game and most of them are in the ds charts so maybe ebay is the way to go but having never sold on ebay what fees will i be charged and did you still win out the deal including ebay fees? im just a little peeved i cant find where i purchased some of the games so as not to buy games from there again. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
With ebay you are charged for a few things.
listing fee, usually about 30p it rises if you set a higher start price 99p is limit of the bottom price band. I think.
You also pay a final value fee which is a percentage of what the item sells for.
Paypal will also charge you to receive the money from your buyer if they pay by credit card which most people do.
I think my ebay fees for about £45 was £6ish. I have a basic paypal aco!!!! and some people paid cash so my paypal fees were lower about £2.
as for winning, I didnt pay for the games, Tesco r+r policy ment that if they overcharge you they gave a full refund and you kept the item so the games cost me nothing. As for covering fees your not suposed to do it but your most people inflate their postage costs. I checked my postage fees by weighing everything includeing the packageing before listing to ensure I didnt get any shocks at the post office, remeber to add any costs you incure to your postage fees, like parking at the post office what ever. postage costs dont attract fees from ebay but paypal take their percentage. Remeber that not everyone will pay at the end of the auction so you will need to make multiple trips to the PO but be reasonable with your postage.
A ds game I think cost about £1.18p to post cost of a jiffy bag 15p so I charged about £1.65 for postage as I have to pay to park near the PO.0 -
Hey
I've been looking around trying to trade in some DS games too and I hate selling on ebay. I never get a good enough price that's worth the hassle.
If there's a CEX near you i'd head there. Check out the trade in catalogue here to give you an idea of the price you'll get.
http://www.cex.co.uk/sell/
The GAME catalogue has disappeared so don't know about their prices but i don't think these are bad quotes.
Can't vouch for the accuracy of the catalogue prices yet.
