Well i dont know how true this is,

but i was told that if you ask for credit and are refused, that will count against everyone living at that household and effectively effect their credit rating to.

Now 2 months down the line, i get a letter through from some credit agency saying i was REFUSED CREDIT ! and something about applying through daxon.....so beware folks, must be part of a marketing ploy !!!

Daxon is, well, a catalogue and if you do not pay with a card you will obviously have to open a line of credit with them - there's no secret marketing ploy there.

At the stage of ordering you are given an option to pay immediately by card, which will then bypass the need for a credit check / account. I have always done this with Daxon.

They do sell tat, that's certain, but if you hold out for special offers only then you can grab a bargain. My first was a jacket and scarf for 69p (delivered) but as the offer was posted on here they soon sold out - so they sent a full length leather jacket in it's place!!

The second was the pan set and a brooch. As mentioned above, the pans are crappy and quite small but will do for camping, and the brooch quite reasonable which will do as a little extra gift on the Gran's birthday. Both of these for just £1.38

The latest offer is a handbag and purse, in tan leather. Again only 69p in order value will see it delivered for free. Use code 1185

I think if you use them in this way you should have nothing to complain about, I know I certainly haven't.

P.S. for all who want to know what the 69p order is, it's a throw away 'ring sizer' - item number 191.5713

Also had mine delivered, very cheap and the griddle pan is no griddle pan, maybe a pan with bumps in it, and all those cheap frying pans.

    Will be giving mine away

I haven't had mine delivered yet (ordered them a week ago) but I'm beginning to hope they don't come after all the comments about the quality! Perhaps I'm blacklisted after all - I didn't get my hardwood bench either!

Thanks for this trademark - it is very rare for my sense of humour to be caught on the hop but these comments made me giggle to myself for quite a few minutes !!!!

I agree with some of the about posts as well - catalogues such as this and La Redoute often give crappy gift like this away as it is the only way they can get rid of them - no-on would part with hard earned cash for such tat.

As they are free - most people will either use them where they can (camping - although I would only use thes as a last resort), put them away in a cupboard for a rainy day or simply bin them.

IMHO a bargain is only a bargain if it is something you would have paid more for - which does not apply in this case !!!
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!

Does an order have to be £10 or more?
