sell and rent back--any good?

hi all, have any of you got an opinion on selling a property to an agent then renting it back. if we did this we would lose most of our equity but keep our 'home' if we go B.R. would we be in trouble for not utilising our equity in a more profitable way cheers for any opinions gina

we have had a notice issued at work about thes 'sell at undervalue and keep your home' companies. If we come across a case where the bankrupt has sold property to one of these companies we have to report it to headquarters. I understand it is because of the misconduct of such companies: they are not regulated, they offer you no security, and there have been a lot of compaints about them.
