We'll the rate didn't drop as predicted so I think we're best grabbing the low fixed rate deals now before they put them up...

I'm not convinced, they are predicting they will fall by christmas.

Simon,
I think people are saying that it will go down by 0.25% in August. Someone even said the blasts in London today might affect the MPC's decision. Apparently NOT!Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -
I agree, I think they will fall but it could be a few months and with the fixed rates being lower than most variable rates at the minute you gain from the fixed rate until then and it will probably only drop 0.25% at a time so it would have to drop 2 or three times....
As with all mortgage choices it's down to personal circumstances and opinions...
I need a mortage in the next couple of weeks so I'm gogin for a two yr fixed deal (see this thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=68781)
