i think in france you get em for free of the government, as i understand it they come around and help anyway you need them to, just to take the pressure of a bit.
prety sure on the documentary i saw the helper just whipped round the house did the washing tidy up that sort of thing.0 -
Haven't a clue but if you find one, let me know how you did it and how much the service costs please! I need somebody to come in 2 or 3 times a week to do things like tackle the ironing, catch up with the laundry, cut the grass, clean the windows etc. all the jobs that I get bogged down with. I could also do with someone who could be on call to collect a sick child from school should I be stuck in a meeting or away from the workplace. Also someone who could sit at home with a poorly child.
I need a surrogate grannie!0 -

Sounds like you need a handyman ( much more fun
:rotfl: :rotfl: ) than a moody teenaged mother's help. :wave:0 -
I recently got a little slip of paper, either from the MW or more probably from my NCT group that were offerring free mother's help - it was something to do with the local university and the students needed the work for experience purposes or whatever. Wasn't interested myself, but worth contacting your local NCT group and see if they know anything.0

Mother's help tend to be an extra pair of hands (under supervision) with things like helping out with the children and generally help around the house, e.g. hoovering, dusting, preparing meals etc.
