  • if anyone is after a car seat with the straps then argos have one advertised for £29.99. not sure how good it is, but i guess they all have to comply with certain standards. I wish my little one would stay in one like the above (thanks OP) but he keeps slipping out of the seatbelt

Obviously the above link is a cheap option... personally I think an extra few quid on something like a car seat is money well spent, can't put a price on your kids safety 'n all that.

  • I was looking at one similar to the one that super_dad shows for my DD who is nearly 2 but when i spoke to the lady in Mothercare she said that she would suggest I use the baby seat that I have at present as it was safer as DD would probably not be tall enough.

Liked the idea of one similar to the argos on as it gives a little more space.

Couldn't get to our nearest Home Bargains till today - but they still had one - just what I needed, very grateful for your post.
  • Hello, I bought the Cybex Solution today at http://www.smythstoys.com/ for £29.99 thinking I was buying a cheap car seat not realising that in Mothercare and Tescos the RRP is £79.99.

I hope that it is a good brand and so far my son appears to be comfortable in it.
