Can I still make a claim for policies taken out in '92 and '98?

would it be possible to claim for a policy from 1998. I am actually no too sure if I was missold one to be honest.
I was sold one from Winterthur through the estate agent0 -
A 1998 is less likely to have been missold statistically compared to say a 1988 one. By then, most companies had their compliance/risk warnings quite well placed. It would need a missing file or adviser not following employer/compliance department instructions for it to be wrong.
