My husband fell upstiars last night with a full mug of drinking chocolate in his hand (how often have I told him to use tray)
He got to it before me and started to scrub it with cold water.
I managed to get a load of it up with paper towels, two rolls, but there is a stain left on the carpet, its a wool/synthetic mix, 80/20 I think......any advice, it will cost me £50 in excess if I claim on the insurance and the carpet goes up the stairs along the landing and into the two bedrooms, was only put down 18 months ago...........

If you have a wet/dry vacuum cleaner, or can borrow one, pour cold water on the stain and vacuum it up - repeat until the water that comes up is clear. Then shampoo.
I did this once when ds1 poured 2x2 litre bottles of squash onto our living room carpet - just as we were about to go out - aaarrgghhh!
But it worked.0
