Mortgage Insurance Quote

Options
I'm moving house in a couple of weeks and have been asked by the solicitors to provide a copy of the policy proposal and schedule of cover. I wish to get my insurance via the many comparison sites detailed in the home insuance section of this site. However, in order to input the required info it seems I can only insure my current home and not the new house. Could anyone give me some advice on how I can get this to work?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Ramec

You should be able to get the quote you desire

Try putting the postcode and address of your new house into the system

I suggest you try Tesco home insurance as I found them to be the cheapest as they offer new customers a 50% reduction and as such difficult to beat

As per above - use the new address. Make sure you use Quidco to obtain cashback as well.

    Hi guys,

I tried tesco but the quote was not far from what I am paying at the moment, and I am told that is high by Nationwide and that they have a better policy available (cheaper). I realise that we are moving to a four bed from a three bed but it is the same postcode (the first three digits anyhow). The tesco policy has a voluntary excess of £100 and compulsory excesses ranging from £25 to £100 and £2000 for subsidence where our Nationwide policy just has a standard £50 excess?

The quote I'm getting from tesco doesn't seem to include any 50% off and the only reference I can find for 50% off ended on the 11 Dec 07?

Again any help would be appreciated
