Table Decoration

Hi

i am looking for some table "slips" - I think that is what they are called. I am trying to describe them here but not sure if they are called table slips?? - basically they go over the table linen and you can get them in different colours and come in 1m x 1m(ish) squares.

Are they called slips? and where do I get them from?

try this site - if you mean what i think u do lol i think you can just buy a "square tablecloth" in the colour and fabric you desire and throw it over the white one

I would try somewhere like Wilkinsons, Poundstretcher or Instore or even somewhere like The Range

Do you have an oldfashioned department store anywhere near? The sort that sells chair back and arm covers.

Failing that you could always buy white table cloths cut them to the right size and then die them. I don't know how heavy weight you would be wanting but you could use sheeting fabric.

table runners I think they are called, if you do decide to make your own I would avoid slippery material as it may slip off, I know you'll have stuff on top but you never know, a cotton would probably sit better on the table. I'll try and have a look for a pattern for you. Try Abakhan fabrics or similiar in your area, if you wanted something really colourful perhaps you could try sari cotton which you could get quite cheaply. Also check the size of the tables you are using, as I'm assuming you want them to drape over the sides a bit. Good luck!

see i did think of runners, but rnt runner narrower than what she is looking? or are they both runners?
