YBS Offset, savings or move?

Hi

I have a Yorkshire Building society offsett which is 0.75 + base rate.

Question, I have savings in the offsett linked savings account, about £6k but is this the best place for it?

When I put my sums into calculators having savings does not make much differance.

We are overpaying but want/need to keep some cash aside which we can access easy.

Happy with YBS, local branchs plus smallish mortgage and term, so not worth fees to move it. Hope to be MIF in 2-3 years.

hi crockpot, I also have a YBS offset mortgage and i,m very happy with YBS
your savings are saving your 6.25% at the moment and you would struggle to
get any better in an ISA. try to build up at least 6 months of wages !
you also have instant access if you need it so I would pay any spare cash into the offset and clear the mortgage a.s.a.p. Once offset is same as mortgage then pay into ISA,s each month to build up savings GOOD LUCK
