AIG Car Insurance/ Quidco -result of my buy

There have been a few threads asking about whether AIG track for insurance as they are new to Quidco so thought I'd post.
I took out car insurance with AIG on Friday lunchtime as they are offering £90 cashback through Quidco. My renewal with my old insurer was £204, AIG quoted me £136 for a better policy actually (courtesy car and PNCD) so to be honest I'd have been happy even without the Quidco.
AIG have just now tracked my transaction, however it's tracked at £60. I do wonder if it's because my premium was below a certain level, as to get £90 back on a £136 policy seems excessive really, however nothing was mentioned of this on the Quidco site.
I'm personally happy as that's nigh on 50% of my costs back, and I'm aware that sometimes things don't track, for example my Wii purchase at ToysRUs last year didn't track, and they declined my enquiry ticket as well, so for me £60 is a bonus.
Just bear it in mind though, if you are choosing an AIG policy merely on the basis of the £90 that it might not end up being £90 you get.
Edited to add, I have submitted a ticket for the missing £30, but won't stress if I don't get it.

dont think there is a limit to how much your policy has to cost to get the cashback....my dad insured his KA last year for £144,he got £120 back from screentrade(through quidco) so his insurance was £240

When I did the Morethan insurance cash back mine didnt track at the correct amount. Subsequently changed 3 times before being received in full at the quoted amount. Hopefully yours will be alright also.0

I bought an AIG home insurance policy last week via quidco and mine is tracking as £60 too at the moment. I'll keep an eye on it and possible open a query ticket if it doesnt correct itself shortly.... hopefully we will both be ok!0

I did my car insurance over a week ago with AIG now and it still hasn't tracked - even though they've taken payment for it and the policy starts on Wednesday.
I'm a bit concerned becuase I had 2 customer services calls asking if everything was okay with the policy and if I had any questions - I don't know whether they might now class this as meaning the transaction wasn't taken out on-line. What do you think? If this is the case I'd be very annoyed as they called me, I never contacted them.
Also, if other people are tracking sooner do you think that indicates mine isn't going to track at all now, or could it be that some customers take longer to track than others?
Thanks0 -

I'd say that if your policy is not saving you money without the cashback, ie the sole reason you took out the policy was for the Quidco money, then I'd cancel and reapply. Or try the Prudential perhaps. Mine tracked in 40 hours and this was over a weekend, so I'd have thought that if it were going to track, it would have by now?0 -
Mine still hasn't tracked! I don't think it's going to now!
When I think about it I did get a quote through Moneysupermarket when i was first looking into insurance so think they might link me to that instead.
I'm still within 14 days of receiving my policy so should still be able to cancel and as far as I can see there'll just be a £4.75 charge. Will I then be able to take the policy out with AIG again? I suppose there might still be the chance it won't track a second time! I've tried quotes with the others and AIG is still fairly cheap, plus the others won't insure cars with a value of less than £1000 (which my little old banger is!)
I'm stuck! Don't know whether to just accept my losses, and try to be a bit more cautious next time!0 -
Hi Guys
Thanks for flagging up this issue - we have corrected this now and the correct commission amount, the £90 launch incentive, should be showing in your buy.at management area very soon.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me
Thanks
