Hi All,
I had a remortgage refused by the Halifax so got Experian credit reports for my wife and I.
My rating was excellent, though neither of us were on the electoral roll, (must have binned the form with the election junk mail). I've sent the froms off to resolve that anyway.
However my wifes credit rating sucks because she had a falling out over goods, she says she returned, to the value of £65 with a mail order company last year, so she has been showing further and further in arrears for a year with them. This is her only blemish in a page of green ticks.
If I put a note in the credit report about this I'm not sure anyone will ever see it, they just seem to go by the score (our credit scores are 960/1000 and 725/1000).
I want to consolidate two credit cards and require a mortgage of £96k on a 115k house. My own mortgage company, GMAC, offered me a rate of 8.9%.
Any advice on how to proceed very welcome,
Buchos
