Tesco Till Coupons

Over the past few weeks I have recieved Coupons printed direct from Tesco tills after finishing at the checkout.

I have had a couple offering double clubcard points at my next visit.
Not sure what caused these coupons to be issued.

Is there a pattern as to what coupons will be churned out.

I bought some value apple and orange juice and also some innocent pure fruit smoothie half price at £1.49

This churned out the 40 extra points when I spend £1.60 on fruit juice coupon.

Does anyone else have any similar examples of coupons that are issued from products they have bought?

Yes - I bought the OH a cheapo t-shirt for one of our boys to give him for father's day. Probably the first time I'd ever bought an item of men's clothing, and the till spat out a 300 bonus points for £10 spend on men's clothing.....he did very well out of me as I had to then spend even more money on him!!

I'm sure there must be a pattern because the last 6-8 weeks I've used a double points coupon in Tescos, and received another one to use within the next month

Now I've recently moved house, and have been using Sainsbury's more because it's slightly more convenient (and consequently Tescos less) after a 5 week stint of "Tescosing" Nectar sent a pile of bonus points on spend at Sainsbury's - so a bonus points collection timetable is in operation here ;)

Suits me down to the ground because we always end up having to go to more than one Supermarket for stuff because there doesn't seem to be a single supermarket that actually stocks everything 'supermarkety' we want.

it depends what you buy and how much you spend.. ive not been given any coupons recently but ive only been 20 odd quid to top up my fridge.. ( take the old dear next door to tescos every week) sometimes if you spend over £50 you get petrol coupons i find that if you use your clubcard these offers are geared up to your kind of shopping so i dont always hand my clubcard in to see if i get anything and then just walk to customer services and get the points added on.

I've often found that when you buy nappies you get baby-related till vouchers at Tesco, or ones for kids' clothing -- dunno if it's a coincidence  . Also, if you buy anything organic, you'll probably get vouchers for organic stuff quite a lot.

Tesco till vouchers tend to be for points, though, not money off. However, my local Tesco Metro are going through a promotional period and every time you buy anything from them, you get a £2 off an £8 shop, £2.50 off £10, or a £5 off £20. Does anyone know if these total spend till vouchers (that actually say which store you're supposed to use them in) can be used in a different Tesco?

I got two on Monday and another two on Tuesday, sometimes I can go weeks without getting one.

I had a 50 points token for buying £2 of frozen pizza, this I've had before, very useful.
25 points for buying Jaffa cakes cake bars - thought I'd bought the right size pack but the coupon wouldnt scan at the till. So I paid for them anyway but did a refund at CS, realising by then I had the wrong size .Looked at my recipt at home and noticed no pack size stated so i got my points added on manually next time I was in. Bit cheeky.
250 points for a £15 mobile phone top up, used that tonight and I also got an added 30 points (triple points on top ups) Last time it was a £20 top up.
250 points for buying £10 of kids clothing (bought some ladies clothing last week so I wonder if that generated this points token)

Once I had a 50 points token for buying £2.50 of frozen peas, we are still working through the peas, havent had to buy them for months!

LOL, I've had that one too! I didn't use it as I had a full freezer anyway. Those vouchers really do sometimes have ridiculous amounts on them.

Oh you should have passed it along or done a swap. These vouchers dont seem to be tied to your own particualar points card. I've use dother peoples points vouchers for organic food, lynx body spray, Yours magazine, pampers (!) deli items etc

And using other peoples does not seem to affect any future vouchers etc.

Husband went to Tesco on Thursday & picked up a pack of sandwiches & crisps. He got a coupon for 50 extra points when you buy 150g or 300g of blueberries & a coupon for a free back of Bodyform Ultra fit towels.
I used the coupon for free towels yesterday on the shelf they are priced at 99p but coupon took off £1.28.
