Freezing pancakes?

I've just made a load of pancakes, ashamed to say using a jif bottle of pancake mix! (Was given to me by someone at work! I'm not too proud to accept a freebie!:D )
The mix says it needs to be used on the same day so I've used the rest and now have 5 "spare" pancakes cooling in the kitchen inbetween layers of kitchen roll. Will these freeze okay with it being packet mix?
Thanks
Anna x

I don't see why not, pancakes freeze very well. I wouldn't use kitchen roll to separate them though, I think it will stick to the pancakes when they defrost, use greaseproof or foil.0

I have frozen pancakes in the past, but separated them with greaseproof paper. They were fine and really easy to separate.0

I often freeze extra pancakes, i just fold them and pop them into a freezer bag - ive never had a problem seperating them once they have defrosted.0

When you buy Aunt Bessies ready made pancakes they have nothing inbetween them, They always separate ok..furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Thanks for all your replies! I don't knowwhy I thought packet mix might make a difference!
I wouldn't normally use pancake mix (feel it necessary to justify myself!:D ) but a woman at work got a free sample of the bottles of powder you add milk to and shake.
She never ever cooks and said to me "you're into that whole cooking thing aren't you?" in much the same tone of voice you would ask someone if their hobby was mugging old ladies or drowning kittens:rotfl: !! I said yes so she let me have it!! I didn't have the heart to tell her shaking a bottle of mix and pouring it into a frying pan doesn't really count as cooking!
Thanks again for your help - my almost hm pancakes are now nestled safely in the freezer!!
