notification of a websites' updates .......

i can remember last year reading something about a website .. or some software ... that you could use which would automatically notify you when a specified website had made changes / updates to its' wbsite .... you simply listed the websites that you wanted to keep an eye on.

Anyone know about this ?????
certainly would save me everyday going onto about 20 websites to see if theres any new offers / deals etc ....

There seems to be quite a few web monitors on the market, I wrote one a while back (I shouldn't admit these things in public!) but its got very limited functionality and not very user friendly!

Try searching google for the web monitor by Right Soft, if I remember rightly its got plenty of functions and could quite easily handle 20+ websites at once

I've really started using RSS recently. But it only works if the sites you want to monitor use it. (more and more sites do. Here are the feeds of mse)

Here's my reader - an extension to firefox - but there are lots of stand alone readers.

I click on the blue refresh icon on the left and any page that has been updated gets a red star beside it in the top-left pane.

Headlines for the site appear in the bottom pane (bold = things I haven't read) and I can click on them to see them in the main area
