Old Tap Cassettes

This isnt a money saving question, but whats the greenest way to get rid of a bag of music tape cassettes? Most arnt in good nick, so I cant give them to a charity shop.

There are no special facilities for recycling either audio or video tapes except a place in wales that you can post them to which can be expensive. I would try freecycle, if not it's landfill I'm afraid
Most council tip sites have a barrel for recycling batteries, some relly lucky peeps have them collected in the doorstep recycling0 -
Also, what do you do with dead batteries?
Not sure where in Wales you are, but I'm in Swansea and here Tesco (and I think some other supermarkets) have a collection point in lots of stores for dead batteries and so do lots of council buildings in Swansea and Llanelli.

I opened this because we had a new 'bit' put inside our kitchen tap yesterday (so it doesn't drip anymore! Hurrah!) and I wondered if I would have to throw the old bit away ... :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0
