Although the market is fairly flooded now and I have very likely missed the boat (nothing new there) how would you go about starting yur own cashback website? It's just gotta be a software program that does all the tracking etc for you right?

You can buy ready made scripts for this. They all differ, depending on how much you pay. The best ones do everything for you automatically, with the cheaper ones you have do do some of the work yourself. e.g. updating users accounts, making payments etc.
If you look at the cashback sites you will see some are quick to update accounts, others only update once or twice per week. This is because the owner has to do a lot of the work them selves.
Have a look at some sites, the older ones have usually developed their own script, or paid to have it developed. But most of the newer ones that have jumped on the band waggon have bought ready made scripts. You can often find the developer at the very foot of the page.
I really do think you've missed the boat on this one. Although you hay make something if you can get enough daily clicks on the site. But even these are dying now.0 -
Your right about the market being flooded already. I think it is possible you could make it work provided you didn't aim too high, in terms of how much you could make out of it.
I think you would need to offer something good to draw in people. So either go down quidco's route of offering a higher cashback and take a £5 charge like they do. Or maybe no charge but still offer a higher cash back to the customer than other cash back sites.
You would also need to pay for getting placed in a good position on search engines. The free options they offer are not very good at all.(I tried it will a website I created).0 -
the market is saturated, unless you can think of a niche that is not exploited yet , maybe lower league football club related or something like that, half the cashback going to the club , the rest to the member
you get the idea, you need to be different
some of the cashback do "white label" sites run on their software but with your front end/lookEx forum ambassador

I didn't know about white label sites but it looks like an option, although personally I'd rather be the owner of a cashback site that is offering the white label site....0

Hi
You've mot missed the boat as you can specialize in different area's. Might be worth visiting warriorforum.com - which is a free forum for all online and internet marketing talk. There's some online 'guru's' on there that will offer great advice.0 -
I have grave concerns over the white label scheme from EDeals. I thought we would give it a go. I own a company which generates about £12 in sales every year. I joined up through some company called Azam and it was not clear on the relationship. After a month, I got an email back stating that it was not free and that I would have to pay fees to set up the white label site which was completely contrary to what was previously said. Detecting a scam, I have decided not to pursue their venture. If anyone knows of any genuine schemes, please let me know.
quote=Anderzky;8203643]there are white-label cashback sites everywhere at the moment.
Greasy Palm has White Label sites like this one. With these ones you're sharing their database and all you get is a customized front-end to Greasypalm - link
eDealsUK sites only really change the banner at the top-left (like this one) but unlike Greasypalm you have your own customers rather than just contributing to the GP database. They say they've now launched 30 white-label sites - link
Cashback Rewards has white-labels like this one. They seem to give the most customization to the look of the site - link.
There's also cashback sites being sold by someone on ebay for around £1500[/quote]0 -
LOL to the post above. If you generate "£12 in sales every year" no company would want to go to all the expense of partnering with you!
eDealsUK / Azam has a reputation par excellence and have launched over 100 cashback sites for free including for the Mirror, People, Diamond car insurance etc. but, to protect the members of the cashback sites, like other companies they do not launch white-label cashback sites for people that do not satisfy their criteria for quality and professionalism.0
