i doubt theyd give you £2 per item, it would be £2 per different mistake at BEST, which in this case would be one times £2...
CHECK YOUR ASDA RECEIPTS!
asda do seem to be mispricing a hell of lot lately, ive been overcharged (never undercharged...like tesco!) 6 times in the last month. i smell something fishy....im not suggesting they do it on purpose hmmhmm
i wouldnt mind getting a card each time for £2 if it was that easy,
it usually takes 2hrs to get seen by someone at customer service as they are so understaffed and then they are usually rude and ignorant....in fact once i was told i was wrong about the price mistake and was rudely told to wait for 10minutes before i was told i was right and refunded...
ive phoned consumer direct to complain (trading standards doesnt seem to take calls directly anymore), i suggest everyone else does the same when it happens to them...
P.S. in fact ASDA seem to have gone right down hill lately, and tesco seem to have gone up hill....0 -
Three days ago I took back three packs of Thorntons cakes that had been reduced by half (I think they were Christmas stock) - I was charged full price and when I asked the lady at the CS desk if they they still give out the £2 gift cards she replied that they don't do them anymore!
I feel cheated!0 -
thank you, i do feel slightly better now after my little rant
i took them in wrapped in '3' asda bags and the woman on the desk wouldn't even get them out to scan them as the smell was so bad she made me go and find the same item off the chiller and bring it back so she could scan it for a refund pmsl. think i might write them a nice letter telling them how it totally stinked out our car which i then had to get valeted to rid the smell:rotfl:
i also was overcharged for some choc fingers too just before xmas and when i went to the desk i was almost called a liar and told that the cheaper price had finished 3 days earlier and she knew the signs were gone... um well how do i know its supposed to be 66p then
she did refund me, 40p SHORT!!! the cheek of some people lol - you would think it was coming out of their own pocket

Asdas website states £2 per item, I wouldnt leave that CS desk until I got £2 per item.
If I had no joy with the store manager I would take his/her name then phone HO when I got home.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Good on you for getting the £2 gift voucher, however I would point out this is 1 gift voucher PER ITEM so you could have got 2 x £2, did you have to fight for it? Most do, "Sorry doesn't apply to fish/meat/toys/electrics/whatever you have bought on this occasion" are the general rebuttals. REMEMBER £2 PER ITEM!!
It was only one offer so think thats the most i wouldnt have got out of them..where as if i bought 4 bags then would have got the 2x 2 vouchers.. if i had the balls to ask...got turned down before but got aminition next time now i know its on the website "per item"0 -
I dont think HO even cares about how theri customers are treated.
I emailed them a complaint at christmas and still no reply!!10 -
You were overcharged for 2 items, it doesn't say per offer, it says per item, you could have stood your ground and got an extra card, I'm not saying you did wrong or should have just that you could have if you see what I mean, when in doubt get the to phone head office or check their own website for clarification. It was only one offer so think thats the most i wouldnt have got out of them..where as if i bought 4 bags then would have got the 2x 2 vouchers.. if i had the balls to ask...got turned down before but got aminition next time now i know its on the website "per item"Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Could somebody point me to where on the Asda website the £2 per item policy is mentioned? I have had a quick look and cannot see anything at all...Thanks0

I have recently been overcharged twice by Asda - on first occasion cs gave me refund of overcharge, and straight away gave me a gift card and put £2 credit on it.
Next day was overcharged on something else - got the refund but had to cough slightly and ask about the £2 - which was promptly produced !!
Always worth checking your receipt, and asking - £2's soon mount up, esp when you only bought chewing gum or something really cheap
