Help with Nectar points

I didn't know where to place this query but would appreciate any help.

I don't shop on a regular basis in Sainsbury's but do occasionally take up any offers such as the one i posted on the freebies for a Free Eye Test at D&A which includes 500 free nectar points.

My question is this, whats the best deals available for Nectar points usage ? i have trawled the Nectar webpage and can only think that i may as well be better off opening a CFT with them and using 1000 points at a time to claim £5.00 into the account, but i have a niggling suspicion that there must be better deals out there.

Nectar points not clued up on at all so i would appreciate some input please.

If you have a look on the Freebies board on here there are often posts on how to get extra points, eg 100 points for signing up to a newsletter. There are sometimes surveys on the nectar website too offering extra points.

also I think one of the survey website pays out in nectar points - mytns maybe? do a search on here for posts, I'm not that clued up on surveys websites!

I've been saving points for ages and I only just have enough for one cinema ticket (could borrow a mobile on orange and get that anyway!) and I though points won prizes!! :rolleyes:

I do find Nectar points pretty useless, I shop at both Tesco & Sainsbury's and get so much more out of Tesco clubcard. I tend to just spend the Nectar points in store as the deals are so rubbish!
