Can also get Sagem ITD 58 in Argos @ £34.49 - sale price.

NB Remember to check if the Freeview box you go for has a scart lead or not to give a 'total' price.

Do the different brands offer different menus when they come up on screen (ie hold different software) or are they generally all providing the same onscreen facilities?

(Hope that's not a thick question!)

They broadly have the same facilities, but the brands have different menus and therefore software. What you have to watch for is that actually a lot of the cheapo boxes (pacific, alba, goodmans, bush, and a load others) are actually made by Vestel - and so have pretty much similar software and menus!

    Is that a Bad Thing?

TBH I dunno. I've read a lot of good and bad things about them in equal measure. What I was getting at tho is that there's not a lot of difference in them if you're comparing different boxes.
