I got 2 huge boxes of k'nex to hide till Christmas for my 2 grandsons. Also if there are any big girls like me Elvi had a good sale loads of stuff down to £10 and £20. I got a suede jacket from Elvi £299 down to £30 so that was my real bargain today.:T

tesco have reduced all their outdoor summer items today i picked up 3 sun loungers £12.00 down to £1.50 each

they are at the end of the card aisle next to the toys

they had about 8 left at dinnertime

The Midweek Extra the free paper for the Elgin area has a coupon for £5 off £30 of George at Asda clothes in Elgin only. Might have a look and see what they have in their sale.

Thanks for that . I might pop down at the weekend . . . would go today but my car is laid up in the garage waiting for a new handbrake so I'll need some retail therapy to cheer myself up before the bill comes in


Edit ...... got a hold of the midweek extra . . . on the front page is an advert for a voucher in Fridays Nothern Scot for the same deal i think . I 'll have a look then too

Some decent stuff at good prices. Electric awning (cream) 4metres wide x 2 metres (fixes to house) £42 - I'm sure the original price was +£300

not exactly money saving ideas or tips but I have an undercounter fridge free to good home if anyone wants it. It's not in tip top condition but it does work. You will need to collect from the Ellon area before Wednesday.

ETA: closest freecycle for me is Aberdeen. Does anyone know if that is a city freecycle only or if people from country areas advertise too?

As far as I know Aberdeen Freecycle is open to the whole area. People as far as Moray pick up the emails so providing you say that your item is in Ellon it is up to them to decide whether they would like to travel or not. I have had people from Banchory travel to Elgin to pick up items from us!

I have used freecycle aberdeen (as it was my closest one at the time) and I live in Shetland.... so I would think Aberdeenshire would be just fine!
