Copied threads/posts don't contain thanks.
If you wanted to quickly remove thanks from a thead, simply copy it and delete the original
If you wanted to remove the thanks from a single post - and wanted to go to the extra effort necessary - you could:- Go to split thread and tick only the thanked-post in question. This spilts it off to form a thread all on its own
- Find the thanked-post and make a copy of it
- merge the thanked-post and it's copy back into the original thread
- Delete the thanked-post leaving the copy which will look exactly the same as the original except without the thanks
