tax self assessment where start??

in Cutting tax
I have never paid or registered for tax, other than through PAYE. I have now started letting a property and need to know where to start for doing some self assessmant what with april approaching etc, and i haven't a clue where to start. Where shouldI go/what should i do first? Your advice appreciated. Thanks in advance, keith.

Dead easy, Kreid, just ask HMRC for the additional sheet to accompany your main tax return. they also do a booklet which explains what you can claim etc. Might even be the web....try HMRC website"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

You will have to in future.

started letting last year, am hoping that my outgoings will negate any need for most income, as we have spent a lot! Thanks for the replys, i will phone the most local tax office, Keith.0
