Does anyone know where I can hold of some decent diabetic ice-cream at a reasonable price? And any other places that are cheap stockists of other diabetic foods - find some places are over-priced.

Hiya
I am a bit confused as I thought that diabetics were now advised to eat a healthy diet and not actually go for "diabetic" foods as they were not always the healthy option. So what I mean is - Diabetics to follow the diet that is recommended for all - low fat / low sugar and high in fibre. That doesn't mean no chocolate or sweet things just not to go overboard.
This is not my medical advice so please take advice on this.
Plus the diabetic jams and choc's etc taste pretty yuck - I had to try them during my training. Not nice.
Try here for lovely no added sugar ice cream http://www.skinnycow.com/:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -
If you go into Saino's and ask at the Customer Services counter, they should be able to print out a list of foods that are suitable, they certainly do this for intolerances.0

and some healthy eating plans
However as both sugar and fat don't feature much in diabetic friendly meals any ice-cream specifically designed for diabetics probably wouldn't be worth eating but some firms have products on offer such as
