I suppose that depends on what you want to eat LOL.

We manage. We just have to pop to ASDA for eggs and lard, (lidl don't do lard and eggs are cheaper at asda) and Aldi for bread (37p a loaf).
The only thing I need that I can't get at lidl, is the lard for pastry. everything else, we manage with :)
Oh, and they don't stock a great many herbs and spices, but I buy those in bulk anyway so don't notice it really.
Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

  • Last week I bought snacks at Aldi - crisps, cheese straws, hummous, feta-filled peppers, and they were all delicious. Also a can of ready-to bake rolls, and a ready-to-cook tortilla-omelette. Very low on horrible additives and stuff, too - the omelette is just egg, potatoes etc, no flavourings or colourings.

I think Lidl is pretty good seems too be more stores than aldi round by me there is a lidl store 5minute walk from me so go mostly shopping there, i went in there today and bought a load of sweets etc yay for lidl and their sweets :D :T
  • I would say Aldi too... Loved their food when I shopped with them in France sadly there isn't one in my area. Lidl is vary basic, and there's very little choice (well the ones in my area are quite tiny so they can't stock much anyway) and it's a question of trying and see if you like it, when I shopped there I decided it wasn't worth going back.
