100 Tesco clubcard poins for 29p - Make £3.71 profit if converting to Deal points

This is my first deal, so go easy on me.
I warn you now all the eco freaks had better look away now.
Firstly head over to UKDVDR.co.uk and buy some Canon BC20 compatible cartridges for 29p. (EDIT: It looks like I got mixed up between the black and colour cartridges and these are actually BC21's, which aren't accepted, sorry. But you can still do the bit from here down for any cartridges you have or can find cheap which qualify).
Then head over to TRF to get some freepost bags.
When the cartridges arrive, take them out of any packaging, pop them in the bags and bung them in the post box and wait for your 100 points per cartridge to be credited to your clubcard (may take a while, but they get there eventually).
Check here for a list of qualifying cartridges, in case you see any other cheap cartridges worth doing this with. Tesco's T&Cs don't require to cartridges to be original and I have searched previous posts here and people say they accept compatible cartridges and they can't exactly refuse their own cartridges. (EDIT: There seems to be some debate over whether they accept compatible cartridges, but you can search these forums and find that people have been paid for compatibles in the past).
Don't you just love going green. More Info.
Deal for the 29p cartridges ends 31/01/2008.

I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

do you have to pay postage on the cartridges?'They only had one cow!'0

You have to pay postage and VAT even on the postage, so certainly not the £3.71 profit to be had. I suppose if you buy a few it might be worth while as buying 1 adds up to over £6...
Is there a limit to how many you can get points for?0 -
Although there is free pick up in Edinburgh and free postage if you spend about £300!!!0

Thanks OP.
Strange, when you apply for the freepost bags, at first it says it's for Marie Curie Cancer. But then after you submit it says it's for British Red Cross?
This is a good deal for people who just have these cartridges already. I have a couple I can send off for 100 points.0 -

I phoned up the ink cartridge recycling people and they told me that tesco is changing the charity it donates to and it is in the process of updating the envelopes.0 -

I think Epson cartridges are exempt:o
I remember checking in the past to my horror and finding out they where:rolleyes: may have changed now however;)I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

It would cost £2.40 in total if you bought 1.
You can buy up to 10 cartridges for the lowest p&p of £1.79, so if you bought 10 the total would be £5.04 inc vat & p&p.
If you sent away 10 cartridges thats 1000 points for spending £5.04! which = £40 in deals!! This seems too good to be true, is there a catch?
Can anyone confirm that tesco will take these 'Canon' compatable cartridges?
...and is there a limit to how many you can send in?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
I thought that TESCO had a limit on how many cartridges you could re-cycle for points, same as they do for re-cycled phones. It always used to be a max of 5 per year. Not sure if it still applies, but if you are thinking of buying and re-cycling loads to get points, then I'd check first, as it may prove fruitless.`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.
