Selfridges and French Connection are offering all budding designers out there the unique opportunity to design an installation for the French Connection menswear department in our Oxford Street store.
We would like you to get your 'creative juices' flowing and design an installation which sits within, yet enhances, the French Connection menswear department. The design should compliment the existing department whilst enhancing the existing layout and branding, ultimately creating an inspired shopping environment for our male customers to enjoy!
The installation design can be photographic, graphics, multimedia or sculptural... it's completely up to you! The aim is to make it inspiring!
The winning design will be created and showcased within the department. As well as the excitement of having your vision realized in one of the world's most prestigious department stores, the winner will also receive £3,000 cash!

We at anewmovement.com are sort of excited to announce an exclusive competition in conjunction with French Connection and Selfridges.
We would like you to gather your 'creative juices' and to aim them at designing an installation which sits within, yet enhances the French Connection menswear department in Selfridges' prestigious London store. An installation that adds to the department, enhances the current layout and branding and also creates a more inspired shopping environment for all those boys out there.
The installation can be photographic, graphics, multimedia, sculptural...really it's up to you! Just make it inspiring!
The first prize is £3,000 as well as seeing your vision realized, in one of the world's greatest department stores.
It really is worth your time and talent.
How to enter
Designers are asked to...
Develop an installation for the French Connection menswear department of Selfridges which will sit alongside the Spring/Summer 08 collection and reflects the brief.
Develop mood and design boards that show clearly the final design of the installation to enable specific pieces to be selected for make-up for final judging process. To be submitted with three final images and a 400-word (maximum) presentation to support them. Describe the inspiration behind the design and how it was developed to produce the final entry.

Who can enter
The competition is open to all anewmovement.com subscribers, with less than five years commercial design experience. Whether you be a sixth-former, a mature student or design agency newbie, you are all welcome to enter.

Designers are asked to select and upload one image, from your final three, which best showcases their final design ideas. This is added to the members’ gallery for viewing and public voting.
The final entries are judged and three finalists announced. Each are then given a small budget and asked to build a mock up of their installation, while documenting their progress with a photo diary, which will be uploaded on anewmovement.com

There will be one Award:
1st: £3,000 and the production and installation of the winning design, in the French Connection store in the Selfridges menswear department.
