Award shows are known to drag on an on, but there’s little chance of The BRITs not keeping time. This year we’ve got an official watch! Its the work of ultra lux watch maker Raymond Weil, who designed time pieces in collaboration with musicians like Craig David, Jay Kay and Lemar in the past.
The watch itself isn’t particularly musical, but it’s got bling to rival any rock star. Set on a chocolate brown strap of genuine croc, the watch face is surrounded by what rappers call ice: Loads of pave diamonds.
The mechanism of the Swiss movement are revealed with a cut-out tiny picture window on the face, and the reverse of the watch features the BRIT Awards logo embossed onto a sapphire crystal glass. Named FREELANCER, the special edition will be inspiring jealousy the world over as it is given to all performers and presenters involved in the 2008 show.
