TBH I think these chargers are a waste on money in UK, how many days would we get of 12 hours direct sun light? very few. Some chargers maybe all right to trickle charge your car battery if you can get one cheapish but you better off with a normal charger.0

            • Charges up to 4 Ni-Cad rechargeable AA batteries in as little as 12 hours of direct sunlight
Sounds like a broadband ad:- "up to 4" and "in as little as 12 hours".
"direct sunlight" as in the Sahara ?
 • Compact, lightweight and weather resistant
 Weather resistant ?
 • Tilting solar panel to maximize exposure to sun or daylight
You will have to move it every 10 minutes to keep it exactly pointing at the sun
 Save your money !0

It produces up to 1 watt.
Let us assume that the UK has 12 hours of brilliant sunshine every day of the year, and you really do need Ni-cad batteries all the time.
Well with that amount of sunshine and used every day, you would save 4.3kWh(approx 35 pence) a year. So in 30 years it would pay for itself0
