You're lucky that you are making some money from your cards! I started making cards about 3 years ago now and had the idea that I could sell them and make myself a few quid. Well I have sold a few to a local shop, about £10s worth, but I soon got sick of this as she paid a £1 and then sold them for about £2.50.
The in laws get cards off me all the time, but they don't have much money so I end up giving away the cards for free!! I have spend a fortune on getting loads of stuff, I just wanted to make some money back off it. I should be asking you for advice!!!!
I dabbled with selling them on ebay, but once the fees are taken off you end up making a few pence.
You could try making a few gift tags, I made a few xmas ones once and sold a load, you could make them to match the cards that you sell, they don't take as much time as the cards to make. Or perhaps gift bags or boxes as these normally cost a fortune in the shops!!!
Have you got any advice for me!!!!

I had another thought - how about making up a card kit, with enough stuff to create a few cards - people might like to have a try themselves.

That may be a good idea actually, kits like that on ebay sell really well.

Do you make the cards that you sell or are you working on behalf of a manufacturer?
  • I dont make them i buy from a company for 30p per card and sell for 60p per card they then sell for £1.10-£1.20 per card. A shop may sell 40-50 cards per month. I go to about 30 per month.

  • why not try a craft market or car boot sale? There's a lady who sells cards in a regular market on thursday and saturday or perhaps let people know around school or other work you might do, people will pay good money for something that comes to them.
