    A quick reply,

thankyou to all the kind people who have answered by question, as a new member on this forum i feel very enouraged by this.

As for sid, Butler, sazzy and all of the others who told me off for doing the most insignificant thing wrong i say Hypercrits, you talk about reading the rulws of the forum yet you are rude, arogent and totally uneccessary, which if im not mistaken contradict the rules of the forum, and i quote

"Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps. "

you are what makes forums unpleasent and petty, shame on you, pathetic, small, please tell someone who gives a monkey, start a new thread for al i care (although make sure it is in the corerect categry)

That is all i have to say on this rather unnessary matter.

  • Hi Tom-GB,

Ignore the others who seem to act as if they have some God-given right to things here; as if the whole forum should be conducted to suit them.

Sid Harper claims to want to "save my bandwidth", yet, his not-so-nice (some would say rude) response has led to most of the posts - and thus, the usage of more bandwidth.

Butlers1982 is making a habit of this (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=694065&highlight=compensation+out+of+date). Don't you just love it? You can imagine him sitting there specifically SEEKING members falling foul of his laws (Tom-GB's crime was falling foul of the "I am annoyed by you posting on the wrong forum, yet I knew the title of the thread, and still came in to specifically complain" Act 2007, Section 3).

Sid says "I think it would be interesting to do a poll on this site about whether or not posting a non-bargain in Grabbit annoys people". Yes, and it'd be even more interesting to do a poll to find out how annoying people like you are. I'm confident which of the two people would find more annoying.

  • Hello,

For a few days now i have been a member of the following survey sites:

    yougov
    panelbase.net
    ciao-surveys.com
    lightspeed

On each and every survey account i have filled out ALL of the profile and additional profile information that it will let me!

My problem - I havent received any survey invitations!!

Someone help me! Do they really work? Anyone using the sites i have mentioned, what are your experiences?

    Cheers,
    Jamie.

    Hi Jamie,

Before I say any more, do you have another member in your family who is already signed up to YouGov? I was given the chance to earn a pound for someone I referred to them, so I chose my hubby. Trouble is he filled his profile in but it's more or less the same as mine so I suppose we're too much alike and he's not worth them bothering with. Could that be the same with you....or have you NOT completed your profile yet? If not then do so straight away and tell the all they need to know as it will help you in the long run!

I have to agree with thriftymanc. I get along really well with YouGov, the surveys are relatively brief and nowadays they tell you when you receive the e-mail alerts just how long each one will take to complete. I keep my £50 by for a rainy day or for something important.

I too have been with Ciao, but have given up with them - even though they STILL owe me money! It used to be good, but not any more, I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I've not used the panelbase one, but might give it a go and try it out now you've said about it.

I used to be with lightspeed, but stopped doing them as I no longer really need the CDs.

    Good luck Jamie!

    Sue.

Hi I have been doing the youguv surveys for a few years now I have had 4 £50 cheques from them which has been nice, but I also enjoy being involved because now and again you will see on the news a youguv survey has said and yes thats part of my opinion so that makes me feel good.

im with yougov too. Ive had 1 £50 cheque for surveys and won one of the prize draws for a £50 cheque too. Im already up to £ 12 again so I think they are getting a bit quicker to find surveys now than before.
lightspeed sometimes have a glut of surveys and then a smattering all depends if you qualify.
Ciao are not worth it for the surveys and the survey pages they use often have faults. The reviews pay well once you learn how to write one which is just experience and checking out how others have written theirs.
  • I'm with yougov - have been for about a month and have only recieved one invitation for a survery which was for an entry into the prize draw - I've filled my profile out etc - I'm a little frustrated because I still only have £1 in my account! Am I doing something wrong?
