When I returned something I ordered from Argos online I ws told it would be refunded back onto my card, this didn't happen and I queried it on this forum and was told it takes longer, I spoke to argos and was told 3/5 days then 5/10 days then 10/14 daysand after 14 days I am told today that it's gonna be another 10 WORKING DAYS!!!!!
I'm sooooo frustrated but my hands are tied, what can I do?
Does anyone know where i can send my frustration in writing to?
Many many thanks

It takes 3-5 working days to show on your account once the refund is applied to your card. Allowing return process on top would add to the time but should no way take 24 working days to get a refund.
I worked in a bank for 7 years, in my experience the only refunds that took any longer to show on accounts were the ones that were not processed back to the card immediately. A request for interest to be paid on the refund value might push them to process it faster. But I would complain to their Head Office too.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
They told me today they couldn't refund it onto my card and it had something to do with the bank as to why they couldn't.
I'm really annoyed but as I said before I feel like my hands are tied!0 -
Shouldn't take that long for a refund!

Never thought of that one!. However after I was messed about regarding the time lengh for a refund ( 1st it was instant, being put back onto my card then 3-5 days. then 5-10 days then 10-14) I called and they told me that the reason it was going to take an extra 14 working days was it had been re issued what ever that means! however thsy are adiment it can't simply be rufunded back onto my card.
I have put all my issues in writing but the address I've been given is different to the one the poster above you has posted for me so now I'm worried its gone to the wtong place.0 -

Thanks, I ordered online and I got they address I sent my letter to off their website too. I did send it recorded so I'll just have to wait and see what happens If I don't hear from them in a few weeks I'll re send it to the address you provided.
thank you0 -
Does anyone know of the email address of the CEO/MD or anyone high up in Argos?
Thanks0 -
Mr Oliver Stockten is the Chairman of the Board, and contact details I found for him are...489/499 Avebury Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK9 2NW. I think this is the general address on the bottom of all letters but when I wrote to him with my issues I got a responce and the matter dealt with.
