  • co-op do a cash card account (i think electron) and are usually used by people in financial difficulty. Other than that have you looked at a prepaid credit card *but please be wary with these as there are fees involved whereas the banks dont charge*
  • Hi, Halifax basic and Coop basic accounts both come with Electron card. I have both accounts and I've had no problems with either.
  • The nat west step account is very good, comes with a solo card as stated and internet banking. If you do apply then make sure you're very clear that it's a STEP account that you want, not a current account :)

Also make sure that none of your crediters have a connection to your new bank. You could just get a pre-paid credit card, works like pay as you go phone.
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

I couldn't get an account with a bank that gives anything other than a cash card, can't use Halifax, BOS, TSB. HSBC was a cashcard, so I' with Nationwide.

I'm lucky that I can use my mums card when I need to or I just buy online through sites that allow paypal.
  • Clydesdale bank (Yorkshire bank in England) give you a Maestro card with their basic bank account.

    Hello

If you use the following link Basic Bank Accounts, and in the Basic bank accounts section click on publications it will provide you with a list of accounts and what benefits the account offers.
Be sure that the account has no connection to any of your existing creditors though.

    Hope this is useful
