I just found a cheap train to Glasgow, got really excited, then remembered it was for March, not June :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Those of you flying into Prestwick, last time I flew out of there you could get a discount on the train by showing your ticket confirmation printout at the train ticket desk. I don't know if they're still doing it but it's worth a try. They never really advertised it, I just found out by word of mouth.

Oh, and count me in for the meet, seeing as I live here and all...

Two of the biggest free museums/galleries in the city are right next to parks (I'm thinking People's Palace at Glasgow Green and the art gallery at Kelvingrove) and you're never that far away from a cheap pub. It works for rain and shine :T

There are a lot of backpackers places, cheap chain hotels and reasonable b and bs in the city if anyone has to stay the night.

They were definitely still doing it at Christmas when I was heading down that direction to see my folks!
