well, opening lots of tabs and doing a quick add up, flying from Bournemouth will cost £38 for the flight and £24 for the parking (but I'll have to get up when it is just getting light!!!!) and then £4 or so for the train and flying from Southampton will cost £81 for the flight and £20 (ouch - that has gone up!) for the train to the airport.....£66 for nearer to my home but a definite lack of sleep or £101 for a bit further away, but a whole lot better on the beauty sleep!!!

Saying a night up in Glasgow and flying home on the 8th?

Yep ~ Sarahs coming to mine friday night 6th. We will then drive/taxi/mums boss to the airport (40min from me). Fly to glasgow 7th (could be a very early flight for cheap fare though). Do whatever and stay over (travel lodge or something cheap). Fly to Bristol 8th (again could be really early/late flight depending on prices). Then you can either make you way home on Sunday/Monday. Whenever you arrive/go we will take you to either Temple Meads station or Parkway in Bristol. Or you could drive as we have space outside our house ~ if its cheaper.

Well i think/hope Sarah agreed hehe.

PAP, where have you found Bristol to Glasgow flights? Is it RyanAir?

I can only find easy jet at the mo at £45 return inc taxes. but that a hell of a lot cheaper than petrol/train. Havent tried coaches yet but if i go on a coach i will travel friday because i think its like 7 hours +.

Looking at the bristol airport site easy jet are the only providors of this journey so it will be £45 if we get to glasgow at 12.10 on saturday, and sunday leave at 9.45. Other wise its the same outbound flight but a later flight at 21.10 ~ that will cost £55.

yes, folks, it's Prestwick with Ryanair - you walk over a bridge at the airport onto the railway station. Trains are pretty frequent and take about 40 minutes to get into the city centre. Costs about £3 or £4 - just need to factor that into the timings for getting the flight back. I've done it a couple of times, it's cool, not too bad by Ryanair's standards!!

There's also a bus from Glasgow international every 7 minutes or so costing £5.95 return

Hmm, I might go straight from Newquay then as it's £35 each way, it'd cost me more than £25 to get from home to Bristol in petrol or train.

Just want to warn everyone that Glasgow ryanair fly to Prestwick; which is about 30-40 mins outside Glasgow on the train. If you show the contuctor your boarding pass you get a half price train fare to Glasgow central; it's not too expensive then.

It's also a covered walkway to the airport so yo don't get wet.

hhhhhm............interesting idea........to quote Martin......I wonder if an internal flight would count......although no guarantee I'd be accepted.......would be a saving of about £16 or so.....

    Free European Flight with Flybe

Grab Flybe's credit card and once you've spent anything on it you'll be sent a voucher for a return flight on any of its European routes. Taxes aren't included, so you'll have to pay these; but the beauty here is that there's no minimum spend. Buying a bag of crisps (or an apple for the health conscious!) still qualifies for the freebie. Just make sure you pay the card off in full to ensure no interest.

Freebie: Free European light Voucher, Min. Spend Trigger: No Minimum, Taxes Included: NO
