How To Avoid Paying Tax Publication

had a brochure through the post from "STREETWISE PUBLICATIONS" urging me to send for the above book, It all sounds simple, its tax avoidance not tax evasion. Well, I've done some research and there have been several complaints about this brochure along the lines of misleading quotes. The company were told to stop using these particular quotes ( back in 2005), but the dont seem to have taken any notice. So, I'm not sending for their £29.99 book. However, I do want to reduce my taxes, dont we all. Anyone know of any similar- preferably FREE - websites that will give me the same info?

Try googling legitimate ways to reduce tax and see what you get, or else just read the posts on this site. That should give you a flavour of the sort of things that turn up in these books. I've not read this particular book but other publications and newspaper articles along those lines I've read over the years are usually just a timely reminder e.g. have you used your ISA allowances, have you claimed all the work expenses you are entitled to, are you claiming tax credits, have you got a pension etc? Locate a book called 101 Ways to Pay Less Tax on Amazon and use its search inside facility to see the topics covered. I'd imagine the book you've come across may be quite similar and that you may actually be a bit disappointed as to the topics covered.
