Hi everybody!
I'm researching ways to make money from home when you are retired.
Anyone here doing that? Perhaps as a film extra or on eBay? All I can think of is car boot sales! LOL!
If you are making money in your retirment and you don't mind talking about it, could you send me a PM?
(By the way, in case you're not a film extra but want to become one, I noticed that Casting Collective have opened thier books and are now taking on applications.)
Thanks!
Zoe

Hi Zoe,
I retired a few months ago and wondered the same thing.
Have you thought of Mystery Shopping?
It looks interesting and is especially good if you're flexible with your availability.
I started registering with a few companies last week and have got work starting on Saturday. Getting accepted and searching for available work can be a bit of a pain but as I said it looks interesting.
Good luck and happy retirement!0 -
Hi,
Looking through the first post here will have give you some ideas. Don't forget we also have a Silver Savers board where you will get advice for older MSE-ers0 -
Good Morning Zoe,
I retired aged 65 in August 2005. For the last two years I have worked as a "Weekender" in an Estate Agents. I find this interesting and stimulating as well as giving me extra income (I also cover for holidays and sickness)
This sort of job is usually taken by students and young Mums but I have the advantage of having greater flexibility to work extra hours and at the risk of being "Ageist" clients tend to feel more comfortable talking to a mature person.
If you don't mind working at the weekend this might be a suitable opening for you.
Good Luck for the future0
