Buchanan Clark & Wells and TalkTalk - GRRRR!

ARGHHHHH! ....and breathe...
I've just had Buchanan Clark & Wells on the phone, talking to me like I was something they stepped in, demanding money that I apparently owe to Carphone Warehouse/TalkTalk. Basically, last year, some salesman called round to our house to talk to us about the brilliant rates that talktalk offer, told us we'd pay for broadband then get free calls, and loads of other codswollop...anyway, we thought it sounded good so we signed up. Then two weeks into the service (and we didnt have broadband at this time, just calls as the broadband was going live at a later date) we got our first statement - it was for one week as the two weeks fell inbetween the statement dates or something - and we owed a massive £50-odd for just ONE WEEK!!! We were shocked and cancelled our calls with them straight away (a call to our current provider Pipex confirmed we were back with them within a day or so) We then got a further statement for the second week we were with talktalk and they were demanding another £56 - we were charged for calls and another line rental - for just two weeks we got charged line rental twice - two months worth?????
Are you following me? LOL! Anyway, I am seriously disputing this and will be phoning talktalk again to demand an itemised statement (asked for one before and they just sent the balance!!), but BC&W are telling me they will start legal proceedings if the balance hasnt been paid by the 30th, and if I dont call back today to pay half the balance they will whack on charges. The girl on the phone was a nasty piece of work and I dont want to give them my money -she treated me as if I was a thief yet I dont think they are entitled to a penny from me! Get this - when I told her I thought I only had enough money in my acount to buy nappies and milk for my baby and would need to check first before making a payment today, she turned around and said SHE wanted that money!!!!
What should I do? I'm all flustered and not very good at arguing my point across or sounding all professional lol! I need to phone BC&W back today and I dont want them whacking on charges but they wont hold off. Its not my fault talktalk aren't cooperating but they dont want to know.
How on earth can it be possible to get charged line rental twice for two weeks worth of calls? Oh, and we got charged for calls that weren't even answered (charged for just ringing out regardless of whether the person picked up or not!!) Something's amiss here.
Sorry - its long and boring and probably doesn't make any sense at all!

Don't let this jumped up gofer talk to you in this way!!!People like that make me sick!! They just get off thinking thye have a power or control over people!
Talk Talk have to act in a a reasonable and FAIR way to help you pay back what you owe...if indeed youo do owe anything!! they are just trying to scare you by saying they will start legal proceedings, and I would simply turn round to them and say that until they send the information you have requested then the debt is in dispute. Might be an idea to get further advice on this from CAB!
Good luck and don't be bullied by jumped up little *******!!!!!!Debt at Sept 2006 £63,500:eek:
