  • Home grown is always best and cheapest I am telling you

Basically the more you pay the better the quality as anything else

    It's all about VFM.

and chopped ones are 23p (well, that's what they charged in my one and probably only delivery tonight); had to use the 1,000 points for first order coupon they sent in the post, plus the £10 off first delivery sent by email, and the £5 first order on QuidCo in one hit :D

Napolina Tomatoes are top quality, streets ahead of most "!value" ones, and the price is great.

It's the ASDA bit that's the problem :-(
  • Hi everyone, first time posting here.
Just got back from Asda, hot foot on the tomato trail, Without any tomatoes:mad: . Now if you ask at the cashout all Asda stores put the same offer at once. Ask at customer service and I was told that each branch can decide to put on the special if they want.

Anyway they want to know where they are offering 12 tins for £3. I said perhaps it was a buy one get one free offer, to be told we dont do that:confused:

Never mind I will keep watching.

    Thanks again

Chopped ones at Lidl are 17 p again. Are they from the same farm in Italy??
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T
  • I grabbed these last week.

Bought a shedload as I use em a lot in curries and for making my own pizza bottoms - didn't think to post it on here - sorry.

Also in asda at the mo

two rolls of john west multipack tuna at a fiver (thats two rolls of 6 cans) so 12 tins of tuna for a fiver - bargain - I grabbed a load of these

    Also in asda:

6 tins of princess Corned beef are on offer. You get two cardboard wrapped packs of three for a fiver (i think its a fiver) - theyre the bigger tins.

6 tins of heinz soups for £3 - tom, chicken and muligatawny - couple more i think.

    bargain - get stocking up
  • also persil non biological washing tablets at £3.00 for forty - thats a bargain cant fond anywhere cheaper at the mo (the gel ones are the same deal as well) they should be about 4 and a half quid - again I stocked up - my missus thinks im daft but it pays in the long run cos we go through loads of washes !

This offer was on their website yesterday and indeed, if you go to Groceries Section and click Special Offers and then Multisaves, you will find:

Corned Beef And Tomatoes Multipack £2.98 2 For £3 (22/1/2008)

However, as this indicates, the offer finished yesterday and therefore it is now a dead link.

I agree that Napolina are the best brand of chopped tomatoes, and no question, 25p per can was a very good price.
