Having seen the soapnuts idea on 'It pays to watch' I'm going to give it a try.
Does anyone know of something similar to replace dishwasher tabs?

I use ClearSpring dishwasher liquid with good results (not quite as bright and shiny as using chemical ones) but quite good enough!0

Thanks. Where do you buy it from?

I get it online from Guardianecostore or direct from Faith in Nature website, depends on price and delivery charge, but you can also probably get it in your local health food store, they just may not do the large version.0

Does anyone know of a tried and tested alternative to dishwasher tablets or powder? Have converted over to Rhonda's home made washing powder and try to keep as much as possible in the house natural. I have heard that maybe Soda Crystals would work, but have not been brave enough to try it out yet. Does anyone have any results they would like to share please? Thank you. SG0

A new book on Bicarbonate of Soda I have just bought (£3), suggests Instead of using a commercial brand of dishwashing detergent, try mixing two tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda with two tablespoons of borax for a load.
Not tried it though.

I use Tesco Value washing liquid (the washing clothes kind). Cant remember how much it is, but a bottle lasts forever and its under a pound a bottle.0
