You can buy dell refurbs direct from Dell. There's a link on the front page to take you direct to the outlet store.

these are either refurbs or secondhand, that is what Europc mainly sell, and only come with a 7 day repair or replace warranty which is not something I'd personally be happy with on a laptop. The prices aren't anything special for that type of kit.

The Dell outlet has much better prices IMO, and the items are new with decent warranties. I recently bought an Inspiron 2200 (512mb, 40gb, dvd writer, 15", XP) with a 1 yr collect and return warranty from there for £298 delivered. It arrived... brand new, not refurb, a good spec and has the peace of mind of more than 7 days of warranty if it goes wrong :)
  • The warranties on the laptops seem to be specific to each item. The Latitude D800 (http://www.europc.co.uk/Home.aspx?ProductDetailID=1&ProductID=37312) has a "Dell 3 Year On-Site Warranty" with it, a few others the same. I've not clicked through them all though.

I bought a refurbished PC from them about a year ago and it came with a 1 year warranty, though I've never needed to use it (touch wood, as it's just run out... _pale_ )

Not sure if they still do free shipping or not, just noticed the banner's away, just to warn.

if looking for cheap quality laptops, then i dont think its the best. go to axion solutions at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Axion-Solutions
and these guys are two ex HP engineers who buy direct from HP (who also sell there own stuff on ebay) and sell at a discount.
i bought last week a NEW compaq presario v2120ea ( celeron M 1.6, 60 gig, 512mb, dvd writer, wireless LAN, widescreen, brightscreeen tech) for £450 vt included.
they had loads of others. There site shows as refurbs, and i wasnt too sure so called in and they explained that these are new units that for one reason or another HP cannot sell as new in UK as they have the wrong processor, memory, hard drive etc from the one ADVERTISED, and its more costly for them to put them back into the production line to alter than sell off.
my unit was in a sealed box, brand spanking new, no a single mark on the bottom.
    well worth a look.
