We had a "Sharp LC26AD5E 26" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV With Freeview" on order from Amazon, which is an older model but gets rave reviews. We were going to pay £370 for it.
But Amazon, after 7 weeks or so of waiting for them to deliver it, have just decided they can't fulfil our order
So we're looking for a similarly priced, decent quality 26" TV with Freeview (high def is not so important to us as we don't watch much TV). Has anyone seen any bargains about?
We were thinking of maybe looking in Costco for their excellent customer service policy, even if it means paying a bit more. Also my hubbie has found this one which he thinks looks promising: http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?page=Product&source_id=aw&sku=723054&camp_id=CHEETAH%20MARKETING&source_id=aw&camp_id=CHEETAH%20MARKETING
Any help or tips much appreciated!

That's not a bad price for that model at Dixons.
£5 cheaper at ebuyer
Samsung panels are generally regarded as being very good. Other brands use Samsung panels too, so it's worth having a google before choosing.
This one has a samsung panel. It's possibly too big for you, and it's out of stock, but it's considerably larger and costs the same. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

Cheers Geo - how does that compare to this http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3366478/Panasonic-Viera-26-TX-26LXD7-HD-Ready-720p-Freeview-Widescreen-LCD-TV/Product.html?cm_mmc=Froogle-_-Electronics-_-LCD-_-Panasonic%2BViera%2B26%22%2BTX-26LXD7%2BHD%2BReady%2B720p%2BFreeview%2BWidescreen%2BLCD%2BTV&source=5065&engine=froogle_electronics&keyword=Panasonic+Viera+26%22+TX-26LXD7+HD+Ready+720p+Freeview+Widescreen+LCD+TV
which hubbie says is recommended by the Which report?
I wish manufacturers would make their model numbers easier to understand so you know which of their TVs are higher spec than others!0 -
You can chek between the panasonc models here.

The only real difference between the 2 teles is the LMD has 2 HDMI ports and PC input.(".)0 -

We also got one of these - delivered friday am, recalled friday pm!! Ho Hum - the replacement arrives tomorrow.
I did get ours plugged in and set up though - the TV looks very nice, and the picture quality is much better than I was expecting for the price. It was bought as a TV for the bedroom, but I'd consider one as a main TV as well.0
