Poppycat please read - that happened to me!!

If you find it is not working then either you don't have the offer and that's that, or you have an email problem.

It didn't work for me at first although i had the offer showing on the homepage and on the paypal payment page.

So if you find it is not working, try making sure that the email address you use for paypal is the same as that used for paypal. If they are different it won't work.

Firstly make sure you see the £5 advert on your ebay homepage when logged in. If not it won't work at all.

If you don't have the same email address on your paypal account, go to My Acount> Profile in Paypal, under Account Informatio nclick on Email - there you can check the email addresses you have registered. If your ebay one isn't there, click Add, add the email address, find the confirmation email and follow the instructions. (I had to do the confirmation number bit because I couldn't work out which password it wanted from me - i tried them all!)

There's a helpful page at http://pages.ebay.co.uk/coupons/ for the process.

Then try paying again - it worked for me!

Masterbrown - I wonder if that's for other users or will become active later on (the expiry date is 2 weeks later than this) - I note this is off a purchase not postage so maybe they will roll this out at some point - no-one seems to have posted that they have had it as yet.

is there anyway we can test this before we buy?

Try using this with an item that requires immediate payment via 'Paypal' - if it doesnt work, then the transaction wont complete ??

UPDATE - got mine to work!!, reason being yesterday was that I was trying to pay for multiple purchases (2 had free p&p, 2 had p&p of £2.50 each so I thought it would just wipe out the 2 that were charged for), anyway, today, I went to buy some shoes for ds, p&p was £3.99, thought I would try the voucher again, and it went through - so at that point, I changed the payment option and upgraded it to 1st class recorded worth £4.99!!

Doesn't work for me (cheers1 or cheers2). Here's an item with immediate payment: 130192415293 if you want to test it out.

This one is not linked to an email address, it's on the Ebay homepage if you care to look!

It isn't on the homepage that I see - are you still seeing it there?

I didn't get an email, but got the Cheers1 message when I logged into Ebay this morning. Bought a £14.99 item and got the P&P discounted no problem through Paypal.

I tried Cheers 2 first though, but it didn't work - said it wasn't valid from my Paypal account.
